Today’s temperature made it into the high 40s which was warm compared to the past three weeks. Bees were flying from most colonies. So far winter losses look manageable but it’s too early for me to declare victory over cold and dark.

There are several high 50 days forecast this week. Adding protein and fondant will be the plan and if the temperature is high enough, a quick peak into the frames might be included.

Spring is only a few weeks away!
