Making candy boards for all hives is my current Winter project. I checked all the hives a few days ago and found that a few were lighter than I’d like considering it is several months before better weather.

I used a few candy boards last winter and liked how easy it was to supplement the winter stores. I also added a bit of protein supplement which helped with the Spring build up. The first pollen will be in late March with brood build up a bit before that. If the bees don’t want it they will just ignore it but I haven’t found that to be the case.

Or it could be I’ve just got Spring fever. Hope your bees are well.
